On one of our previous posts we pointed out that Google had gotten rid of the “gold stars” that appeared on a Google+ local listing that had several reviews and replaced these with the Zagat rating system. Zagat ratings are based on a 30 point scale made up of ratings for defined areas such as décor, service, and cost.

Business owners have expressed a lot of disappointment with the removal of the stars from Google+ local listings. Well, don’t look now, but the gold stars are back, only not on the local listings. Google has decided to incorporate the gold stars into their Adwords program.

And just how exactly do you get these gold stars on your ad? According to Google:

Stars and reviews will appear in your ad if your business has more than two reviews and a rating higher than 4 stars.
